Tuition and Cost

The MS Financial Engineering Program is a non-thesis, Professional Graduate Program which does not offer funding or assistantships to admitted students.  It is not a research-based program and therefore, tuition-waivering assistantship opportunities are not available.

Illinois Residents:

Tuition for Illinois Residents is $17,200/semester for the 2024/2025 academic year.  To see if you qualify as an Illinois Resident, please click here.

International/US Domestic:

Tuition for the MSFE program is $23,550/semester for 2024/2025 academic year.

The cost for tuition does not include University fees which cover such things as health insurance, health services, facilities fees, etc. You can see a breakdown of costs using the Cost Calculator Tool at the Office of the Registrar's website.

MSFE Academic Year 2024/2025 breakdown:

Semester cost: $23,550 + University Fees ($2,773) = $26,323 per semester *not including housing*

Program cost:  $78,969 (3 semesters)

The University provides electronic billing and notifies the student of a pending bill by email.  Payments are made through the University Bursar website.
